As a result, we went through the process of creating a number of depth wedges, or samples, on several shots which then allowed the director to make the final decision on the baseline look for the 3D in the film. In addition to our compositing work, the studio informed us that director David Yates wanted to set the 3D look of the entire film with shots from our scene. In all we completed over 40 shots which spanned the course of roughly 15 minutes of the film. We worked on the first scene of the film, which takes place in and around a cottage located near a beach. The film, which is the eighth and final installment in the Harry Potter series, continues to follow Harry Potter’s quest to find and destroy Lord Voldemort’s Horcruxes in order to stop him once and for all.
